1. Are the Master & Doctoral programs fully online? (Back To Top)
The master & doctoral programs at Monarch Business School are primarily designed to address the needs and demands of the working professional. As such the degrees have been designed as 100% fully online. There is no obligation for the student to physically attend the university. Students enrolled within programs that require a thesis defense are required to do so at the University at the completion of their studies. Thesis defense typically requires a 1 day visit to the university. Students at far distance may make alternative arrangements with the university.

There are no residency requirements within the doctoral programs at Monarch Business School. This is in order to make the programs as accessible as possible for working professionals who can not be expected to leave their work positions for extended periods of time.
3. What are the fees or cost of study? (Back To Top)
The program fees are mentioned on each specific program information page on this website. However, all programs follow a standard fee schedule as shown below. Students from developing countries are eligible for the Dean’s Scholarship which provides a 25% fee reduction. Students may follow either Monarch-only programs or dual degree programs with our university partner.

The default tuition fee payment schedule is semi-annually by wire transfer. Tuition fees are paid in advance and are nonrefundable. Students may also choose between quarterly and monthly payments schemes under agreement with the school.

Master programs are based on 24 month duration. Doctoral programs have a 36 month standard duration.
6. Are the degrees accredited? (Back To Top)
The programs and degrees at UGSM-Monarch Business School are accredited by EQAC-The Education Quality Accreditation Commission in Madrid, Spain. The EQAC was established in 1999 with a mission to promote the development and maintenance of quality and ethical standards in education and training programs. The development was made possible by means of standard-setting, evaluation, and consultation processes. The Education Quality Accreditation Commission identifies and accredits education and training institutions that have attained and maintained the standards deemed necessary to operate according to established Education Quality Standards.

7. Is the Ph.D. recognized internationally? (Back To Top)
The dual degree Ph.D. available across all doctoral programs at UGSM-Monarch is awarded by our university partner, Universidad Azteca. Universidad Azteca enjoys full validation and accreditation from the Federal Ministry of Education of Mexico and is a recognized university by UNESCO. Therefore, the Master and Ph.D. degrees of Universidad Azetca and UGSM-Monarch Business School enjoy the same international standing of other federally recognized universities around the world. The Ph.D. degrees are considered highly transferable between countries.
8. Are the degrees validated by a university? (Back To Top)
Yes, the various master and doctoral program degree are validated by our university partner, Universidad Azteca, within the dual degree Master or Ph.D. programs.
9. Are the degrees stamped by a local authority? (Back To Top)
Students may request from the administration that the diploma and transcript of the program of study be stamped and registered by a Swiss notary in order to provide validation. Moreover, the degrees may also be validated in others languages being: French, German or Italian.
10. Can I obtain a full Scholarship to study from Monarch Business School? (Back To Top)
No. As UGSM-Monarch Business School is a private university and does not receive financial support from government agencies it can not offer financial assistance beyond the “Dean Scholarship” available at this time. Students requiring full scholarships must take advantage of local or national scholarship programs available within their own countries. Monarch Business School does not provide assistance for students in seeking scholarship information.
11. Can I follow Doctoral Studies With Only a Bachelors Degree? (Back To Top)
Yes! The Doctor of Professional Studies is specifically designed for practicing managers that may only have an undergraduate level degree but who otherwise have at least 5 to 10 years of professional management experience. These candidates may also complete a “Master-in-Passing” during the doctoral program in order to achieve the M.Prof. degree. The Doctor of Professional Studies program is also available as a dual degree (D.Prof./Ph.D.) with our University partner.
12. How do I apply for admission and what is the process? (Back To Top)
Interested candidates should submit the online application form with supporting documentation. Once the application form and supporting documents have been received by the university they are sent to the Office of the Dean of the Faculty for evaluation/acceptance. Candidates should expect to receive a response from the Office of the Dean of the Faculty within 10 days of the submission of the completed application and all supporting documents.
13. Are there Scholarships available? (Back To Top)
Yes, there is a Dean’s Scholarship available to students from developing countries. The scholarship is equal to a 25% tuition reduction and is applied for during submission of the online application form.
