Dr. Alessandro Cavelzani, Ph.D., Psy.D.
Professor of Psychology & Consumer Behavior
Dr. Alessandro Cavelzani holds a PhD in Psychology of Communication at IULM University in Milan as well as being a practicing clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. He undertook his training with a Doctorate of Psychology at the Italian Society of Relational Psychoanalysis (SIPRE) where he is an active affiliated member. Dr. Cavelzani has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Psychology, also applied to Tourism and Hospitality, where he served for 9 years.
Dr. Cavelzani has been involved with a number of visiting professorships in several Universities worldwide, including: University of Massachusetts, the DCT University Center in Switzerland, the Caesar Ritz University Center in Brig and most recently he has joined the visiting faculty of IMI University Center in Luzern. He is also active in business academia where he has lectured to the ESCP Europe in the field of Human and Social Sciences as well as Grenoble School of Management, where he holds a permanent visiting position for courses of Psychology and Consumer Behavior.
Dr. Cavelzani is an active researcher and he has written several articles in renowned academic and specialist journals as well as book chapters in the field of Emotional Intelligence, Environmental Psychology and General Psychology. He is the author of “Ambienti dell’ Ospitalita” ( Environs of Hospitality) published by Alinea Editor in Florence, Italy in 2008 and co-author of “Emotional Hospitality” published by Tate Enterprises in the course of 2010.
