Professor Dorothy L. McAleer holds the position of Professor of Accounting, Ethics and Governance at UGSM-Monarch Business School Switzerland. Prof. McAleer holds an MBA in Accounting from George Washington University, an M.Sc. in European Social Policy from the University of Bath and a B.Sc. in Economics from Rosemount College in Pennsylvania. At present, Prof. McAleer is completing a Ph.D. at the International School of Management in Paris. Professor McAller has experience teaching graduate students at the Iéseg School of Management in France, The Mountbatten Institute in New York, The Hanoi School of Business in Vietnam as well as at the Institut Supérieur Europeen de Gestion in Paris.

Professor McAleer is known to apply an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approach to her responsibilities as a professor as well as her business consulting practice. The application of her philosophy creates balance between managerial best practices and current academic research. She combines organizational behavior principles and her risk management, internal audit and corporate governance subject matter expertise to counsel senior members of the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Her Fortune 15 corporate experience, board member service and academic responsibilities involve working, volunteering, researching and traveling to more than 90 countries around the world.

Professor McAleer has more than 15 years of international experience advising Fortune 15 companies. She manages complex compliance, governance, financial and regulatory projects. Professor McAleer’s expertise lies in developing internal Board of Directors reporting processes, designing corporate governance programs relating to corporate social responsibility and corporate political activities and delivering training to all organizational levels. She conducts graduate level lecturing and career counseling for business schools located in Australia, Vietnam, France and Thailand and delivers continuing professional education seminars for certified public accountants in finance, accounting and business ethics.
