Overview
The Master of Business Administration degree, MBA, is the default professional qualification within the domain of management for the practicing manager. The purpose of the MBA is to provide the individual with a solid grasp of all aspects of management and to thoroughly prepare managers for their operational roles within business. Candidates pursuing this degree are interested in examining management problems from an applied standpoint through course work. Students entering this program may be active within industry or intend to enter professional business, entrepreneurship or work within the consulting industry upon graduation.
The award of the MBA degree is based on the completion of ten (10) management courses. There is no thesis component to this program. The duration of the program is typically 24 months. The maximum time allowed for completion of the degree is 60 months.
Dual Degree Award (MBA/M.Phil.)

Distance Learning Structure
The program is 100% fully online. There are no residency requirements. Students complete the course-work using the state of the art learning platform know as “MyMonarch”.
Design
The MBA is comprised of ten (10) management courses. Each course focuses around a traditional key management competency required of the student. The program is concluded with the completion of a Corporate Strategy & Capstone course that integrates all previous modules. There is no thesis component to this program. There are no residency requirements as the program is 100% online.

To prepare candidates for the rigors of managerial practice the MBA program is designed around a set of 10 traditional courses. The courses are taken in sequence as follows:

Manuscript
There is no manuscript, thesis or final research report required within the MBA program. Only students completing the M.Phil. dual degree are required to complete a research manuscript.
ECTS & Hours of Study
The Master of Business Administration program accounts for 120 credits under the ECTS scheme, European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. Thus, each course accounts for 12 ECTS. Each ECTS represents 25 hours of study. Therefore, the program accounts for 3,000 hours of study, though the allocated allotment of study hours may vary per student.
Additional Requirements For M.Phil. Award
Students wishing to complete the additional degree of M.Phil. through our University partner are required to complete the MBA manuscript which is a scholarly research manuscript on a topic of interest within the domain of management. The manuscript may be either theoretical or practical in nature. Before commencing the research manuscript students will be required to complete the Res-500 Research Methods for Graduate Students course. This is a 3 month course which provides the basic knowledge to enable the graduate student to undertake academic research. Students completing the M.Phil. dual degree are not required to defend their manuscript at the university. The manuscript is submited to the university for grading upon completion.
Program Available To
The following individuals may be admitted to the MBA program:
- Graduates from accredited undergraduate programs.
- Graduates from professionally accredited programs such as: CPA, CFA, CMC, or equivalent.
- Individuals lacking an undergraduate degree but who have at least 3 years of managerial experience.
- Individuals above the age of 27 years old entering as “Mature” candidates.

Supplemental Library Access Fees
The University charges a digital library access fee for each student to cover the duration of their program of study. Master students are charged a fee of 250.00 €.
Tuition Payment
Fees are typically payable on a quarterly basis in advance. Monthly payment scheme may also be made available upon request. Monthly schemes may be based on 24 or 36 months.

Tuition Fees are to be paid by international wire transfer.
Scholarship For Students Originating From Developing Countries
In order to help make available the opportunity to complete higher degrees for students originating from developing countries, as defined by the OECD, the Office of the Dean of the Faculty provides partial scholarships equivalent to 25% of the total standard program tuition. Eligible students must indicate their intention to request such tuition relief upon application to the program. Please note that as a private university UGSM-Monarch Business School is not in a position to provide full scholarships as it does not receive support from government agencies.
