Independent Study Doctorate

Independent Study Doctorates are designed for the candidates who either presently have a doctoral degree or hold a research background and wish to complete fully independent, non-supervised studies. Candidates choosing these programs are self-motivated and extremely well disciplined with a strong sense of academics. The programs offer the candidate the ability to coordinate with an academic advisor but otherwise provides the candidate with full independence to complete their manuscript under their own schedule while availing themselves of the research resources of the university. Candidates will require a minimum of a Master degree as a prerequisite along with a resume background that shows a history of accomplishment within academic, personal and professional life.

Independent  Study.

All thesis-only research programs are available to be completed as independent studies programs. This includes all D.Phil. programs along with the Doctor of Management program.

All students must defend their thesis at the University on campus.

Candidates wishing to enter the Independent Studies program apply to the necessary program indicating the independent studies option. If they are considered eligible with the necessary background to ensure their success they will be accepted into the program. Upon being accepted into the program the candidate is given access to the library resources of the university and may begin their research.

The standard duration for the program is 36 months. Candidates holding an exisitng Doctoral degree may complete the program as a Post-Doctorate degree and must be registered for a minimum of 18 months.

In some cases the University may request that the independent student complete either the Quantitative or Qualitative research methods course of they can not demonstrate that these important prerequisites have been completed within a previous Master level program or at another Doctoral program.

The cost of the program is 15,000 Euros. Candidates may pay on a quarterly or semi-annual basis based on a 36 month payment schedule.
