Biography

Corrie Block holds a Master of Global Leadership from the Fuller Theological Seminary in California and is presently following a Ph.D. at the University of Exeter in Arab & Islamic Studies. Presently, Corrie Block holds the position of Vice-President of IPSA HR Solution for the MENA region. Previously, he has worked both as an independent business consultant as well as within the corporate environment with the following groups: Zeitgeist Holdings and Vabadus Noorte Liikumine. Within the academic field, Mr. Block has been involved with curriculum development at the MBA and AMP (Advanced Management Program) level at the Lebanese International University.

In the past he has been instrumental in the co-ordination of the production of comprehensive strategies for water provisioning and for natural gas market in Yemen. Mr. Block has been a speaker or keynote speaker at a number of conferences and seminars throughout Canada, the US, UK and EU countries and is the only non‐Arab presenting at the 2011 National Leadership Forum in Yemen hosted by the Qurtoba Group. Mr. Block has been published in Consulting Magazine in December 2008 on “Consulting for Metanetworks” and he is currently in the development stage of several non‐fiction books. His professional and academic focus revolves around business development within the NENA region with an emphasis on Human Resources.

Presently, Kwame Kusi holds the position of Managing Director & CEO of uniSecurities (GH) Limited, an investment banking institution specializing in structured finance, brokerage services, fund management and private wealth management. Previous to uniSecurities, he has held the positions of Chief Manager of SIC-Financial Services Ltd. and General Manager of SDC Brokerage Limited. Mr. Kusi also holds board memberships at Waste Recycling Limited and Ejuram Rural Bank. Academically, Mr. Kusi has been an adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on the topic of International Finance and Banking.

Biography

Andreas Masouras is a Ph.D. candidate in Communication and Mass Media from the University of Brighton, UK, specializing in television communication and television programming. He is a Research Visitor at the Donald McGannon Communication Research Center at Fordham University USA, specializing in content diversity. His other research interests are in political communication, media policy, journalism in comparison to new media and globalization of media organizations. Andreas is completing a Doctor of Professional Studies to augment his Ph.D. thesis work and apply the academic lessons to the professional arena.

Andreas also holds a BA degree in Communication and Mass Media from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, a M.Sc. in Globalization, Media and Culture from the University of Glamorgan in Wales as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (with specialization in media) from the National Awarding Body of the United Kingdom. Opposite of media studies, Andreas holds a postgraduate certificate in university education from the University of Brighton. Andreas is well published and has presented a series of papers at international congresses while giving lectures in Cyprus, at Brighton and at Fordham mainly on the subject of the diversity and quality of Media content.

Liane Moosho Imakando holds both a diploma and M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension from the University of Reading, U.K. as well as a Diploma in Argriculture from the National Resource Development College, Zambia. At present, she is the Director for Lui Holiday Homes, a private sector entrepreneurship program in the hospitality industry. Previously, Ms. Imakando has held positions as Senior Programme Officer at the Royal Norwegian Embassy as well as Credit Manager for the Women’s Finance Co-operative. She has held the position of Acting Executive Director of the National Women’s Lobby Group.

Biography

Donald Oxford York holds a B.A. Psychology in Behavioral Neuropsychology from McGill University in Canada where he also completed a Graduate Diploma in Leadership. Mr. Oxford York is a graduate with Distinction from the M.Phil. in Business Research program of UGSM-Monarch Business School Switzerland. He is presently completing the D.Phil. in Business Research / Ph.D. in Administration program with an emphasis in Leadership. Mr. Oxford York is the 2011 recipient of the ACBSP Doctoral Leadership Award.

Professionally, he has worked in several hospitals within the Montreal area as a critical care technician within operating rooms and emergency wards where he has been directly responsible for the life support of patients. Dr. York is an active health care professional instructor holding numerous certifications as well as holding the position of Fellow of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. He currently teaches Critical Care and Life Support procedures to new M.D.s during their residency periods.

He was the first Executive Director of the League of Anambra Professionals (LAP) an operating NGO. Dr. Ng’andu is a Zambian Rhodes Scholar. Professor Tarpowah Kear is a D.Phil. in Economics/Ph.D. candidate. At present, he is the Acting Director of the Department of Human Resources for Health Development (DHRD) for the West African Health Organization (WAHO). He has also held the position of Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Liberia where he also lectured. He has also lectured at the A.M.E. University in Liberia and held the position of Administrator and Director at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Medical Center. He is a member of the Community of Practice of the International Pharmaceutical Federation Task Force, has sat as President of the University of Liberia Alumni Association and as a member of the University of Liberia’s Board of Trustees.
